Four proposals at the edge of human–AI interaction.

Each one targets a place where the current state of the art is impressive in the lab but unfinished in the world. The contribution is the work between proof-of-concept and something a person can actually use.

Why these four, together

The four proposals share an attitude. Each starts where most teams stop — at the demo. Each treats the gap between a working prototype and a deployed system as the actual research problem. And each, in its own register, is about how the human stays in the loop when the machine takes over more of the work: the anxious body that a machine measures and tunes sound to; the patient who can think but cannot speak; the operator whose dashboards melt away around an agent; the enterprise whose data finally arranges itself for the people and agents that need it.
